Apple's free guide book called the iPad User Guide states under Using and Cleaning iPad. "... If you are concerned about scratching or abrasion, you can use one of the many cases sold separately. To clean iPad, ... Don’t use window cleaners, household cleaners, aerosol sprays, solvents, alcohol, ammonia, or abrasives to clean iPad. iPad has an oleophobic coating on the screen; simply wipe the iPad screen with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove oil left by your hands."

"The iShine is a great case to store your iPad. When I first got my iPad, i was concerned about scratching the glass panel. That's a lot of glass to have lying on the counter. Plus, it was constantly getting smudged, so I would whipe it with a sleeve or a tissue, which i knew was bad for the glass. When I first start using the iShine pouch, I'd simply give it a quick rub down while it was still in the bag, and it came out nice and clean and ready to play."
